The Barracão, continued

 

Babalorisha Jose Flavio believes that the terreiro should be a place where Afro-art is displayed, to educate the children of the ile. The walls of the Barracão are are hung with carvings and masks, and there are numerous statues representing Orishas which are tied with traditional cloth bows for feast events:
