What is fascinating about doing a family tree is that it keeps growing and growing.  What starts as the study of your direct, lineal ancestors soon becomes a study of aunts, uncles, cousins and cousins-in law.  As the search widens you realize you are studying villages, hamlets, towns and finally whole counties.  You are soon crossing borders, and following migration patterns to other states.

My search to figure out who all the "cousins" were that my mother and her sister mentioned meeting who were from "down in Bluemont", has now connected me to researchers around the country.  But my base is still Loudoun county, and before I'm done, I think I will have found ties to every Loudoun family.

Much of this research is still skimpy, and I hope that you will find a connection here and contact me.

Welcome to the family,

Denise
